| Nainital is connected by good roads to all the major national & state highways. It takes about 6 hours to travel the distance between Delhi & Nainital (310 Kms.). Taxis are readily available from Delhi, and there are some overnight private luxury buses, as well as state run buses, which start from the Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at around 9 P.M and reach Nainital early in the morning.The nearest railhead is Kathgodam (34 Kms.). It takes one hour to drive up from Kathgodam to Nainital by taxi.The nearest airport is Pantnagar (70 Kms) but presently, flights are not operational daily from that airport. The next nearest airport is Delhi (310 Kms.). |
